I was a little late getting my 'offering' out, was supposed to be last night, a very auspicious night.  I did say sorry to the gods thos I'm sure they make allowances for silly Aussie tourists. The frangipanis are mine, there are small holes near their ears to put the flowers in, you add some coffee/tea/tobacco/ a sweet cake to them too.  I also put one at the door of my villa, some people put them in their cars dashboards and on the major car intersections, all business and home temples.  I asked for 'good life' and some good health for my family and friends....
